Must See : The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

I saw the movie on Thursday and loved it. Hubby felt it was okay, but not great. I do wonder if part of this is down to the fact that I emersed myself in the world of Narnia as a child whereas he can't remember if he read any of the books. Watching the film I felt like a child again. My...

    Best website for BLU-RAY rentals?

At the moment, Blockbusters. Lovefilm are having problems with film companies and don't have certain new releases. Unless it has been solved now. I've been getting a lot of the new releases on blu ray from Blockbusters.

Yellow Jacket Sting - anything more I can do?

Wish I known this one. I never saw it anywhere else. I went to the store and got the meat tenderizer and, as far as I could tell, it did nothing. And I made sure I had the ingredient they said was important. It's now been 6 days and I am into the itch stage. Using the anti-itch cream and it...

    PS i love you

To add on to the previous poster....I generally like romantic comedies. Bridget Jones, Love Actually, 13 going on 30.....I enjoy all these movies. . . . . But this one definitely goes in the bad basket. Along with 10 Things I Hate About You.

    The Orphanage

I bought it yesterday. After Lewis Hamilton wins the F1 title, I may pop it in my player. I have a lot of foreign language films, including the trio of Cronos, Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth already I would like to also recommend [REC] as something to watch after The Orphanage (although...

Phantom Of The Opera Dvd Fault

I have seen the 1929 version but not the 1925. I think it's the version that Brownlow and Gill restored, and was shown on Channel 4 a few years back with a new Carl Davies score. An interesting movie. Ironically Mary Philbin (who played Christine Daae in 1925/1929) attended the US premier of the...

    Return to Oz

totally different films in totally different genres. I would never associate this as a sequal at all! The Wizard of Oz (1938) and Return to Oz (1985) are films based on the books by L.Frank Baum - not sequals. in the same context as saying Batman (1989) and The Dark Knight (2008) are sequals...

    Graham from Coronation street

Nope. I've disliked him since he joined the show. His performance would be right at home in BBC 3 'yoof' shitcom, but is so out of place in Corrie. The so-called 'comedy' he brings is so forced it's painful to watch. I find it hard to believe they have now decided to give him dramatic plots.
