Dark Passage - has anyone seen it?

I liked the mystery in the film and the "who can we trust?" feeling. Reminded me of Hitchcock a little bit :)

The All Singing, All Dancing Remade Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Thread.

I saw it yesterday. I definitely prefered it to the original. I never liked the original, the book was so much better! I thought this remake was well made, funny, and good acting from all the cast. Johnny Depp certainly made a very interesting Willy Wonka! Very comical, and original. The...

    Alternative casting decisions

Just a little bored so I thought I would ask: Are there any films where, if you were the Director, you would have cast a different leading man or lady, and how do you think the film would have gone down with the public? I know there are a few films where up to the last minute they had someone...

Is it bad that I still sort of enjoyed Spice World when I saw it the other day?

I haven't seen it in years but I found it a laugh when I did last see it. It's silly fluff, pretty inoffensive as it was not trying to be anything it wasn't. A fun watch if you've ever liked the girls or want some 1990s nostalgia.

"What's Love Got To Do With It?" Film4 now

I'm not usually a big fan of celebrity biopics, but this is one I've seen a few times, and will generally watch if it comes on TV. Looking at IMDB it seems that Larry Fishburne sings the part of Ike, but Tina/Annie-Mae sounRAB exactly like Tina Turner. Did she dub her own voice over?

    Harry Potter

Saw it last night. Thought it was very good, but not as good as the book - no quidditch! They did well to compress it into 2 hours though.

Should there be another Star Wars trilogy?

If the live action series is a success (set between episodes 3 and 4) then they should do another one set 30 years after Return of the Jedi. The Star Wars universe itself is a great setting where you could do just about anything, it doesn't need to be about the main characters in the films...

A question about Zodiac (2008) SPOILERS

Watched this (so I thought) intently yesterday, really enjoyed it, very interesting. However I am struggling to piece together parts of the movie. Hopefully someone can help... The movie projectionist, Rick Marshall was it? How is he connected to the story? Think that's it :)

Oldies: Which films still make you cry?

It's A Wonderful Life - I actually start crying when the pages in the book are turning in the opening credits!!! Don't ask me why, maybe it's because I've seen it so many times and I know for certain I will be bawling by the end of it! It's not a delicate little weep either ... :o...
