Books on music (biography, non-fiction, fiction)

It's mostly the history of punk from the the '60's through to the '70's with hardly a mention of the American Hardcore scene in the '80's or punk's rise to mainstream in the '90's. Regardless it's a very good read and you get to learn a lot about the background of musicians as well as finding...

    Unpopular Music Opinions

Lol. Every single meraber of that band is one of the most iconic players/performers of that instrument/singing in rock history, one of the most successful groups of all time from any country, and are one of the few banRAB along with the Beatles who can claim to possibly have created several...

    Albums You're Digging II

Happy Mondays - Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches : One of the defining banRAB of the "Madchester" (psychadelic dance-pop) scene during the Britpop era in the late-1980s/early-1990's. This album is a pop masterpiece which works as collage art...snatches of melody are lifted from a variety of...

    Albums You're Digging II

I definitely liked it better when they kept their songs shorter because I think that helped avoid the blandness factor. Now on these newer albums if they miss a couple times it makes up more of the album. Gotta love the simplicity of A Series of Sneaks though...

    MB's Most Wanted

I think they should automatically be banned for using not just one, but two Zs as substitutes for Ss in their name. That said, a quick Amazon search revealed several albums by a band named Boys Noize, same folks?

    Bands you missed seeing live

SounRAB like a great time. The show I missed was shortly after YAWIAM came out. I can only hope they re-unite but even then I'm sure I'd wish I could have seen them during the original run. The only other show I missed out on that I really regret was seeing Wintersleep with The Wooden Stars...
