there is a backup feature on android (froyo atleast). you didn't say which version of android you're on. in froyo you can move apps to SD too. if you're talking about making a complete backup of your firmware as it is now then yeah you need to google how to root your particular model you will...

Yep - the Samsung Galaxy S range of phones, including the Vibrant, do outspec the Nexus One in ever way. However, the Nexus One is much more "rootable". There isn't the choice of custom ROMs for the SGS range. Of course, if you're not bothered about rooting, then just get the Vibrant.

One thing to think about: If you have a non US phone, and one not offered by a US carrier, don't expect any technical support from the carrier if it doesn't work or you have issues getting it on the network. Also, I would always go with a quad band phone.

only good thing about cricket is the unlimited. if you dont mind below average voice quality, no internet and cant even send pictures to everyone, then you should go for cricket. add to the fact that you cant even roam anywhere and have to pay them minutes to go out of town.

ive played with both fones. i think the 3250 is better but it is kind of big and a lil heavy but the music player is real loud on that on the w800 its not that loud and on the 3250 it takes forever to send a txt msg. i would get the 3250 though less ppl have it then the w800 too
