The Akira movie is made up of the first two books and the last one. It is not an unfinished movie by any means. It is simply a very streamlined version of the manga series, and a different interpretation. You're better off just hoping for a TV series if you want a fuller version animated...

Hrrmmm... Really not enjoying the Japanese DBZ Cast hate in this thread, considering Masako Nozawa is regarded in Japan as Son Goku over any and, considering, I grew up with that Goku, for me as well. Same with the rest of the cast. I don't know, honestly everyone is allowed ot enjoy one voice...
