I'm on a Def Jux binge at the moment, this doesn't really break the mould that much but is very good. Very dark hip hop, deals a lot with his messed up childhood, the lyrics aren't as abstract as Aesop or EL-P, but pack a graphic punch. Excellent production as you'd expect.

17 years ago, when I first heard it, I loved it, but that was also just before the whole rap-metal onslaught that made this album painful to listen to. It sounRAB dated now, but it was very fresh and original before MTV got it's grimy little paws all over it.

Ok...here's my deep musical secrets... I like bluegrass...especially good banjo music and those tinny, whiny tenor voices wailing. I'd say my absolute love of bagpipe and drum corps music is shameful but I actually don't see anything wrong with that one. :) I also listen to Dr. Demnto CRAB...

agreed. My Aim Is True is great but in a completely different place sonically to Trust and Imperial Bedroom. I like Get Happy! but always found it a bit diluted

I see very little of the "real robot" genre in new mecha shows. When I think of "real robot" I think of Votoms or Patlabor. Atleast in those shows the robots can't fly at the speed of light and sword fight like a ninja. *Grurable, Grurable* Damn kiRAB these days *Grurable, Grurable*
