Surely this is a crime amongst film lovers

I do like the 1939 film of The Wizard of Oz and yet I would love to see another film made of the origional story. Although I've not read it myself I have heard that L Frank Baum's origional story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is quite different from the musical - including the small fact that...

    Should filmmakers stop doing remakes?

Then there's The Hitcher.... Shiver! The only good thing is most of these films bomb big time, which makes it a mystery as to why film companies think they're a better investment than trying something new.

Saw Sunset Boulevard yesterday, what a great film.

Two films I would recommend are - 12 Angry Men: A well made and extremely well written drama The Treasue of the Sierra Madre: A great thriller about revenge and paranoia.

The movie is dead here in America. I don't think they even run the commercial trailer anymore. :( But the good news is that it may come out on DVD sooner (most likley 2 separate DVRAB - one for each film).

How did TDK get classed as a 12A

Does anyone remember the decapitated heaRAB being used as catapulting weapons in LOTR: The Return of the King? That was quite disturbing. A lot of people getting stabbed and what not. I have to say though..... Peter Jackson's King Kong was very violent for a 12A.... Now that was a movie I...

    Superman 2 - How Dated!!!!

The whole bumbling Clark thing was invented by Reeve. It's a complete masterstroke imho, and no, I don't think Reeve will ever be topped as either Clark or Supes.
