There's several things I insist on with a phone....mind you, this is my own PERSONAL list.
Must have music capability, preferably with front-controls
Must be capable of PC-Sync with Outlook for calendar and contacts
Must have good RF
Must have Bluetooth.
Other people have different priorities...

Apple has made the phone specifically to limit 3rd party support. Any hacks to the iPhone will be viewed as security flaws (their supposed reasoning for limiting 3rd party support) and likely get patched quickly, if they plan on updating the firmware as often as you think.

i know it have a strong radio coz the signals are always full but then they drop and comes right back up to full so was wondering if other people are having problems too with this and if someone have been able to come up with a solution...
