I would consider it temporary. And only if it is in the face. I would not fix a sidewall puncture. I bought a C109rt and got a piece of glass in the rear tire with only 53 miles on it . I fixed it myself with a plugpatch combo and ordered the a new one. Changed it out at about 900 miles on it.

lots of threads on this general topic... please use search. "easy bracket", etc However, your description is pretty hard to follow... generally brackets always mount as the outermost element.... but depending on bracket it may take a spacer to re seat the chrome properly...or may need longer...

Dr BOB you are right the bike chrome is good, its just the add ons that suck.I dont want to buy them again and have them turn out the same. just looking for a way to paint cover or powder coat. Its that bad. I will have to take them off and experiment lol.

Not sure how they do it abroad but here in BC if you get a fix it, and fix it, then return it back to how it was when you got the ticket, next time you get a non-compliance and a tow bill.....along with another fix it.
