    Why can't you connect a computer to a TV easily?

    Why isn't there some sort of cable that plugs into the monitor jack on the computer, and the video ports of the TV? It would seem it would be easily done, but no. No where is there anything like that. If there is, please give me a link. i have been searching all day.
