Yeah it's the sort of film they ALWAYS show on BBC1 during a holiday period. Basically because it's a fun little family film. The Pee Wee Herman-esque computer gets rather tiresome though.

Agreed the happy ending made no sense at all. I had only seen the Directors cut , then I saw the theatrical version on SKY and was non-plussed by the new ending. I had heard that there was another different ending out there somewhere.
