3D films in Cinema VS 3D films on DVD?

I've seen 3D trailers running using the Panasonic endorsed version of 3D and wearing glasses on a very big TV and it looks just as good as in the cinema. But yes, it will get wearying and seeing a promo reel of the last Olympics in 3D was just odd. 3D console gaming could be fun but also just...

No Way Out - BBC1 tonight

Funnily enough, I was thinking about this movie the other day, the very last bit still intrigues me even though it somewhat lessens it's impact after the first viewing. The photo processing bit - the bit that takes, like, two days of Pentagon processing power - would probably be achieved today...

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Hated the film, been a fan of the books since they were first published and having watched the TV show so many times. The boring intro with the dolphins at the beginning and it went downhill from there, the guide graphics were sickly, the dwarf Marvin and zaphod!! Don't talk to me about the...

    Your least favourite actor/actress

Hate Keanu Reeves with a vengeance, eventhough some of his films have been ok. Kevin costner is a t*t of the highest order and there was nothing sexy about him as Robin Hood once he'd opened his gob and spoken the first worRAB in that squeaky girly voice. Benjamin Bratt, Josh Hartnett and Tom...

How do you arrange your dvds?

My family get really annoyed at me but ours are in genre's then alphabetically within the genre, except sequels which go after the first film in the series in the order of their release and disney films which have their own section.

    Toddler muscle weakness issues

I would take him to the pediatrician and have a thorough check up. Then you won't have to worry and wonder. He's a little boy, not a toddler ;). Be sure to let us know what the Dr. says. :)

    The "Carry On" thread

I love the Carry On films - they're riddled with innuendo and are guaranteed to make me giggle when I'm feeling down. I think my all time favourite has to be Carry on at Your Convenience, classic! :D

    Revenge films - any recommendations

Oldboy is part of a revenge trilogy. In order of release you have Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy and then Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. The stories in each are unrelated so you can watch in any order you like. I personally enjoyed all three :)

    Halloween Remake (Production photos)

Not sure what to make of this to be honest. The original Halloween was a classic in every sense of the word. That said whereas Scream is said to have breathed new life into the horror genre, as someone else alluded to further up, it also virtually turned it into one giant cliche of slasher...

    Quantum Of Solace Running Time

After the AMAZING Casino Royale, I am really worried about being disapointed with this sequel! I suppose the shorter running time is good in a way for some, but for me personally I am quite disappointed, even with CR's long run I still wanted more when it came to the end, and was gutted it was...

    Oscar Predictions For 2009

It's more subtle than that, you can pick up on buzz, on films getting nominated for other things, on what industry people are saying on places like rogerebert.com and deadlinehollywooddaily.com. It's just a bit of fun though. Although of the 15 or so films likely to get nominated for stuff...

    Back to the future Thread

I love these films. I can watch them again and again and they're still as fresh and fun as on the first viewing. They are up there among the ultimate "feel good" classics. I got to meet Christopher Llloyd at a signing event last summer. He thanked me for coming and shook my hand. It was a real...
