I was more talking about films on the established list of "classics" being considered untouchable in some way, rather than old films in general.

88 Minutes is a terrible film, don't know why Al Pacino was in the mess, same for the bloody awful Righteous Kill too, staring Al Pacino AND Robert Deniro, from the same maker as 88 Minutes. Why oh why.

'Silence Of The Lambs' - awful hammy performance in a film full of ridiculous stuff. 'Scarface' - never has so much scenery been chewed in vain 'Cape Feare' - De Niro as a pantomine dame was never going to work. 'Terminator 2' -OK, but it's just souless to me, the original is much better...

a FABULOUS piece of film making IMO, it's a mix of the actors in the car (not moving) and the car driving along the road, with the background filmed seperately (i believe) beautifully constructed and exceptinal planning is needed for something like this it's in my top three scenes in the film...

call your band "unicorn power". it would be fun to have people make assumptions based on the name, then blow those assumptions away once you start to play. edit: look at me I'm rhymin'

The Mist. Great film. Made even better by watching it in black and white on the Blu-Ray. One of the best Stephen King adaptations.

Enterprise. I know what you are thinking but season 4 is quite frankly the best TREK I have ever seen. Having said that I could quite happily live without seeing any of the first two seasons and selected episodes of the third so perhaps my choice isn't in the spirit of the thread:) So...

That is one of the best trailers I've seen in a long a** while! Looks excellent - can't wait til November 17th. Daniel Craig will be a great Bond, he's a brilliant actor.

But how many people when they watched it knew that it was about Jesus? I bet I've spoiled the film for you all now. I only found out after reading a book about Verhoeven and they showed a picture of Robocop "walking on water" near the end, and then I realised that he dies and is resurrected...
