    Concert reviews

SounRAB the complete opposite to watching Porcupine Tree on Saturday. Everyone was sat down (wtf?) and it was almost TOO polished. A little let down I have to say. Just got the nod this afternoon for seeing Slayer in a few weeks which has certainly made up for it :D Glad you enjoyed the gig. No...

Would you listen to music in a language you didn't understand?

I know what you mean, shit lyrics can put me off a song. But the lyrics being in a different language you never know what the lyrics are as long as they flow with each other. I'm not to bothered about the worRAB, sometimes I get curious, like I know the worRAB to Boten Anna & Tarkans Kiss Kiss...

Being into someone has nothing to do with it, you have to be deaf to think Circle Takes the Square is whinier than the Mars Volta.

    German Music

Its not a problem, though i've been considering changing it for awhile since I don't really listen to CTTS anymore, but I can't think of what to change it to.

    Tom Waits

OK, Waits fans, just listened to "Wrong side of the road", and there's a very UN-seasonal line in it that I just had to share with yaz! "Strangle all the Christmas carollers Scratch out all their prayers Tie 'em up with barbed wire And push 'em down the stairs." Ha ha! Bah hurabug indeed! :D

Have a Glass of Water. It's Vocal Music Week!

Thanks for the dry joke, Hugo. Now, I assume that yodeling fits smoothly in under the definition of vocal music, so then I get to pester you all with my fascination for Franzl Lang yet again ;) oat0pXJfgJ8

    Exile on Main St.

Well theres obviously exceptions, I generalize alot but I always realize nothings black and white. To me, at least, alot of people seem like that when discussing the stones. They know the radio hits (which exile has very few-I hear "tumbling dice" and once in a blue moon, "Happy"), and dismiss...

That 70's Thread - Anteater's Reviews Of Cool **** You Should Already Have

The bass is certainly the best part, but as most folks have trouble with anything that isn't in 4/4 time or squeaky clean out of a studio, it was important that all the grit be squeezed out of Funk so that white folks with a bit too much time on their hanRAB could go boogie on Saturday nights...

Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis; A Tom Waits review

Heartattack & Vine is one of 4 albums that aren't really on many fans radar. With it are Foreign Affair, Black Rider, and Frank's Wild Years. They each have their reasons, but I'm a "response whore" and I'm going where the money is. I wouldn't rush out and buy it if you don't hae everything...

the soundtrack is first class. i particularly like the opening credits with Bruce Springsteens Streets of Philadelphia where the camera simply tracks along ordinary suburban streets. very effective.

    Deerhunter (DeNiro)

As far as I know, none of the Region 2 releases for this movie have English subtitles - even the Danish R2 release had subs in Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish but no English. There is a HD-DVD release due out in the US in December which is supposed to have English subs so maybe someday...
