I agree he has needed an Oscar for his past films, but not for this mediocre remake imo, it was one of his weakest films and very very disappointing from the director for me. Totally didn't deserve the Oscar for directing this year. It didn't deserve any Oscars actually.

She's been in a few things, by acting that makes her an actress. The reason I listed her is because she's not a very good one. Actually add Madonna as well, she's a popstar who tried to get an acting career and somehow succeeded despite being horrifically bad at it in most cases.

I think the films have been good, especially the third one. I think the change in director has been a good thing. I know the books are very dark in places, but there is also a degree of humour in this too and this came out well in the 3rd film. I think Dawn French as the fat lady was a wonderful...
