    Elizabeth: The Golden Age

Well...I have to go against the crowd here and say that I found this film to be really disappointing.

    A Series Of Unfortunate Events

I've never read the books or to be honest even heard of it before. That in itself is odd as I am such a bookworm. Still stranger things have happened. Anyway I went to see this having no idea what it was about and I really liked it. It was that little bit different which is what I think made it...

    Food in cinemas

I used to work for one of the cinema chains and am relieved that there are indeed people out there who find food at cinemas irritating. It's a shame that in recent years there's been this move in the multiplexes to selling all this smelly and messy stuff like hot dogs and those nachos with dips...

    Donnie Darko.

Not my personal interpretation but gathered from another website. Its the sort of film that you need to watch a dozen times. Hope this explains the story a little better. Still a fantastic film.

What television shows could work as films?

Have you ever seen the A Team? It's very rare that anyone dies or gets shot - it was light hearted (and light brained) teatime telly. Any film would have a PG rating for sure and probably have its tongue firmly in cheek.

    Pandorum

I thought it was decent, but incredibly unoriginal (and it didn't surprise me to see that it was produced by Paul W.S. Anderson, whose only good film, Event Horizon, was pretty much replayed here). Just about every idea that the film had was stolen from another, better sci-fi film, but i still...

    Fav soundtrack ??

Entertainment Weekly puts A Hard Days Night as top soundtrack... http://www.filmsite.org/100soundtracks.html Not too many recent films in there - although Air's excellent soundtrack for Virgin Suicides features.

what good films are in the cinema atm?

Absolutely. The characters are brilliantly drawn and the script is amazingly witty. The "f-star-star... " joke had me choking on my drink - and I didn't even have a drink!

    Best Movie Death

It's not my favourite but how about Samuel L Jackson in Deep Blue Sea. It's a crap film but I was impressed that Renny Harlin had the guts to get rid of the biggest name so early in the film. Unexpected deaths; Sam Neil in Red October and Charlton Heston being crucified at the end of The Omega...

Films where the bad guys win.

It's always difficult to define what consitutes a bad guy and even harder is defining what is 'winning'. For example: Goodfellas - whilst the 'gang' get shopped, Henry relaxes in freedom (although to him it resembles imprisonment) Fight Club - Is Ed Norton a bad guy or is it really Tyler...

    Terminator 4

Didn't T3 have some major plot holes regarding the time line? I only saw it once and I wasn't that impressed. I guess T2 was a hard act to follow though.

Is Steven Seagal a good actor?

I have seen him in three movies now (The Foreigner, On Deadly Ground, and one more I forgot the title of...) These movies are quite similar, 200 people are killed in each one, the acting is terrible, and the plot is either not there or makes no sense. But I think he used to be quite popular...
