I used the actual visors instead of getting the visor trim rings. The visors themselves don't have the fitment issues that the trim rings do.

Yes! If you fit an overdrive gearbox with .86 top gear, you will get .86 x rpm for the same road speed. So at 70mph it would give you 2,500 x .86 = 2,150rpm. But the Baker DD6 is a direct drive gearbox, so will not change your top gear at all. I live in the UK and cannot comment on US prices...
