    Brits Vs Yanks

A lot of rock banRAB get that kind of coverage, theres a thin line between rock and pop, and it is possible to be both. Whatever, i take it since Urban is back he will be reclaiming his shift of defending the brits since thats basicly what i have been doing all day, im out for now, have fun, peace.

The Explain Why You Like This Album ('cause i don't understand) Thread

Can have been called one of the most difficult banRAB to get into. Ege Bamyasi is probably the most accessible Can albums there is. For me Ege Bamyasi has always been a groove thing , to me the songs don't seem that long because the groove & the rhythms keep things interesting. I've always...

    WANTED: For crimes against music

To me, sentimentality is, with very rare exceptions, a killer for songs. I can't stand the cheese in Paul Simon songs. I would definitely say that The Boxer is showy, with all of the novelty instruments and techniques (particularly the elevator-shaft drum echo). Compare the BOTW version to...

    Your Most Hated Song

Shiny Happy People by REM. What a waste. Its practically written for a preschool program. It has no artistitc value. At least Michael Stipe recognizes that and hates it too.

    Soundtrack to your summer.

I think the whole nu metal thing was generally awful, but I'll admit that I'd take Limp Bizkit over most of the other stuff from that era. Kudos to Violent for Elastica. When I first heard their debut I couldn't stop listening to it for months.

Which Influential Band Inspired The Worst Bands?

Motley Crue is awesome. They're total badasses who make music that's fun, catchy and unpretentious. No one's gonna suddenly love Motley Crue just because I think they rule, but I'll defend them anyways: 70s Aerosmith: Even I'll admit 70s Aerosmith is better than Motley Crue, even if I don't...

Where is the line between sell-out and talentless nobodies?

Yes, but like was proven, there are degrees of "selling out" - the highest degree being totally selling your soul and handing over creative control itself to the record company.

    Your Music "Range"

Why would I subject myself to listen to all his albums? I've heard the three ones that are generally regarded as his best and I thought they sucked. Why would I listen to the ones regarded at his worst if I'm just going to think they suck too? I've heard all the hits and I've heard enough music...
