If you get the dvd there's a featurette about the film and John Jarrett (the madman) really lived the part off the set to get into the role.... He's meant to be a really nice bloke in real life....I really enjoyed the film......

Making unmemorable remakes is what Platinum Dunes do best! Though away from PD I do think there have been some fairly decent remakes come out of Hollywood, The Ring, Dawn of the Dead and The hills have eyes are all quite good in my opinion.
