    Wolf Creek..

I really liked it. i can understand why you felt 'is that it' though - it kinda happens quickly and i thought there'd be a twist of some kind. i thought the psychopath was only the first in a line of 'villains'. im surprised it was 2 hours long(i still cant believe that) as it felt like it was...

    Oscar Nominations

God I'm shocked that revolutionary road got completely ignored. Also I think it's a crying shame that Kirsten Scott Thomas didn't get nommed, over someone like Angelina, who wasn't bad, but come on? No where near the same league. Think Kate won't win now as she was nommed for Reader not...

Saddest song of all time hands down...*EVER*

Wish I'd told her how I felt, then maybe she'd be here right now, but instead... I pretended I'm glad you went away These four walls closing more everyday And I'm dyin' inside And nobody knows it but me Like a clown I put on a show The pain is real even if nobody knows And I'm cryin' inside And...

    Tom Cruise? NO!!

Mmm... not sure I'd agree. Am no big fan of his, but I think when he's playing against type he's pretty good - MAGNOLIA, COLLATERAL, INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE etc...

Old films on Blu-Ray - worth it?

John Wayne's The Alamo should be re-released on Blu-Ray. BUT, the longer version which I have on video bought in 1991 is no longer available. The extra footage has been left to rot in storage which is scandalous to say the least. I fail to understand why this was allowed to happen because the...

Is there a film that EVERYONE likes?!

I probably have, but surely thats not the point here? The point is to discuss a film that everyone who has seen it has enjoyed it.

    Napolean Dynamite

I think that was his missus. She'd probably chucked him out due to his obsession with travelling back to '82 in a 'time machine' (bought on ebay) to resume his football career. Watch out for ligers...

    I don't why, but I hate .........

I can't stand John Malkovich. He is ugly, leering, talentless, obnoxious - I thought he was a rotten Valmont in Les Liaisons.... apart from that he is OK:p

    Best Movie Death

The shark in Jaws was good. Willem Dafoe (Bobby Peru) in "Wild At Heart" was funny. The first death that sprang to mind when I saw the thread title was Alan Rickman (Hans Gruber) in "Die Hard". Not sure why, though.

Increase in Americans playing British roles

I was about to start a thread on the Bronte film but thought I'd add my comments on here instead. My problem with the casting of Michelle Williams isn't the fact she's American - it's her beauty! Charlotte Bronte was well known for being plain - the well-known portrait of her was flattering...

    Blu ray player

very happy with my new bluray - i have already got District 9 steelbook - loved it very much Inglorious BasterRAB (not seen) Moon (not seen) Outlander (perhaps not worth the effort of getting on BD) Star Trek (the film that made me buy a bluray) The Dark Knight (not seen on BD yet)...

    Memoirs of a Geisha

Saw it today. Have read the book 3 times. The cinematography is beautiful, the actresses are great. The film - doesn't come across as hard as it actually was - Hatsumomo was an absolute bitch, doesn't come across tough enough on the screen. Still a very good film - worth seeing.
