The Official Smashing Pumpkins/Billy Corgan Thread

Wow, you like this album? You are probably the only other person on Earth I know that listens to this album, then. I couldn't get into it until I was a hardcore Yes fan. Though, I'm not sure of its general opinion on this forum.

Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Perhaps he cannot openly admit it, but then again it was a gross miscalculation by a 10 year old boy, so it is a very hard thing for him to do. But what is wrong with fighting within the system, leading by example on what he can possibly do? Here comes the conundrum then on which is easier...

What anime do you look forward to in 2009?

Not much really. In Japan I'm looking forward to FMA II and in the US I'm looking forward to more One Piece and FUNimation's Soul Eater.

The Official Smashing Pumpkins/Billy Corgan Thread

Pumpkins were great in thir time, lots of good songs, I found Corgan to be a bit of a self indulged whiner though...bassist Darcy was cool though!I especially love the video for "Try,Try,Try"

    Saosin

Their most recent "proper" album is great from start to finish. I think they have some of the strongest songwriting in the world of Emo music, and the production on that record is top notch (for the genre), which for me, is VERY important. I would definitely vote for the most recent...

Led Zeppelin "didn't stand for anything"

    Horrible Dubs You STILL Enjoy

Ditto for me. But I actually don't think of the Digimon dub as bad. It only suffered from bad translation errors and script wanks (most of them thanks to a certain Bob Bucholz). Otherwise, it had great voices (most were arguably better than the original), decent music, and was pretty faithful to...

Music Banter Hall Of Fame: Nominations Thread

Definitely Yes from me, in fact it was while reading Boo Boo's KC review thread that I decided to join rab. The strength of their body of work is impressive, and their contribution to the progressive rock movement was enormous. ITCOTK Lizard Discipline Red Larks Tongues in Aspic My top 5 KC...

    Albums You're Digging II

The Residents - The Third Reich 'N' Roll Everything about this album is absolutely hilarious - its name, its execution, its vocals, its atonality used for comedic value, its song titles, etcetera, etcetera. In my mind, two things made some Residents albums better than others; longer songs =...

    Last FM

Hey, good music is good music, pop or not. ;) Plus my mom was in town, had to play some "easy to swallow" music. :D But I love The Shins, Beatles and Kinks and they're all very poppy. Hell, Beatles and Kinks are the top 2 artists in my charts dating back to 2006. The Shins aren't showing in my...

"Awake. Shake dreams from your hair my pretty child, my sweet one. Choose the day and choose the sign of your day the day's divinity First thing you see. A vast radiant beach and cooled jeweled moon Couples naked race down by it's quiet side And we laugh like soft, mad children Smug in the...

What Concerts Are You Going To In The Next Few Months

Sunn O))) and Skullflower tomorrow in one of the finest venues i have ever been to. This would be a brutal gig anyway, add in the exceptional acoustics of The Sage in Gateshead and this could very well leave me deaf.
