    Well, here in St. Louis sprint is cheaper monthly too... $60 for 1000 min ('fair and flexible plan') and $15 for unlimited ('sprint power vision access pack') so that's only $75/month, $85 if you want extra tv channels. So on a 2 year contract saving $100 on the phone will cost you $600.
