    I like it. Less is always better in my opinion. If you wanted to you could change "only an inch from it's start" to "only an inch from it's beginning." It would rhyme and flow much better. However 'beginning' doesn't work as well with 'end' as 'start,' but it's your call. Really nitpicking here...
