You DO know that the English Dub IS the better version, right?
The Vampire Twins arc was creepy as hell. I enjoy all the arcs.
And yeah, I'm reading the Manga scans as well as buying them when they come out.
Your assessment of Dopethrone is pretty spot on. They have some fantastic riRAB, but they just seem to go no where. I do think "Funeralopolis" is a brilliant song, however.
Nirvana introduced me to some of the worst music ever and I continued to listen to it religiously for ten years thereafter. I've since renounced my ties to shitty alternative rock but it's what I grew up on.
:( I grew up with Frankie playing, my mum loved/loves him (don't hear him much these days) but yeah, I haven't ever listened to a full album whilst being a grown up and being able to take it in.
So confusing. "Finale" was certainly easy to look at, but I had very little idea what was going on besides what was immediately obvious. And this "Zeus" guy. Is he new or was he part of the whole Mazinger story back in the old days too?
Anyway, hopefully next time starts to introduce things...
Unpoetic lyrics are more immediately rewarding, but I like the way poetic lyrics require you to think. They give you a more significant reward once you dicipher the meaning of the song or apply your own to it.
On something of a Bob Dylan kick.
