Country and gangsta rap are tied for first in my book with screamo taking second. And I have to agree with FireInCairo about death metal. Classical has some good compositions. I think if people explored it more and actually got to listen to more composers they'd eventually find one or two...

Nice! I used to listen to The Tragically Hip a lot.

Having it in your collection doesnt make you a fan of it. Me and Urban seem to have a similar sized collection and I know I have some stuff i don't like. Plus, the correct spelling of Mangum is purely having knowledge about music. Again, doesn't mean you actually like the guy.

A band that signs to a major label and has no right to their music so the producers make it sound like 80's hair metal. Listen to White Crosses and you'll know what I mean.

Well, we're looking at a more hardcore version of mindless moe junk. So I'm guessing it sells pretty well. The franchise keeps getting new "art"books and was able to get its own TV series which in turn spawned another TV series, so... yeah.

The way I look at it it's easy come easy go. When my last computer died I lost about 50 albums. Within 2 weeks i'd found them all again. That's one reason I refuse to pay for downloaded material. It would have cost me a fortune to get it, and another small fortune to replace it again.

I like it. It's a slap in the face to the hipsters out there. It would be great if they played in an older country, folksy style. Then, once all the indie kiRAB started filling their blogs with rave reviews, they could say, "Umm... We actually DO play Country." Then, we'd all have a good laugh...
