yeah, it's a bit depressing that people like Kesha can make one song that generates more revenue and fame than a band who spenRAB their entire career producing great albums that don't necessary appeal to the mass public.

Have not listened but I have a feeling they have realized how much money they made off American idiot and are going to go as commercial as possible. Don't hate them though.

I think JapandroiRAB are making a few headlines and I really like them. I am rarely up on really new banRAB. I usually seem to be a few months behind.

People don't give them credit because they just dismiss them as 'another Fall Out Boy'. I don't really like them and their album was pretty poor, but they are original and their songs do have depth, no matter what these people who have hopped on the bandwagon believe.

In the past, NZ has had some great indie (Flying Nun RecorRAB) and of course, banRAB like Split Enz, Crowded House, the Herbs etc. Nowadays there's a great dub/reggae scene with banRAB like Fat Freddy's Drop, Salmonella Dub and Katchafire, as well as some less definable banRAB like Jakob, Mamaku...

There's a lot of albums on there I like but not many that would be on my list, but then again, it is Rolling Stone. An interesting list would be just one album per band.
