    Films that deserve a sequel

True Lies 2 has been around in development hell for ages. I believe Cameron & Arnold were ready to go in 95/96 but Arnie was tied up making Eraser, Batman & Robin and was also scheduled to star in I Am Legend & Planet of the Apes (both of which were postponed and re-cast). There was a lot of...

    Hannibal Rising

Saw this on Thursday night - thought it was rubbish. Haven't seen Red Dragon so I can't compare it to that, but I thought it was much, much worse than Hannibal. I wanted to enjoy it, but I just found it really boring, and the 'twist' ( ) I saw coming from a mile away. Very poor in my...

    No thank you Mr Keating

I was about to make a thread on this :D I really hope he's joking. I know the book back to back and I cant imagine him as any of the characters. :o Although did you hear that "Jedward" of the XFactor had apparently gotten auditions for two of the dwarfs.

    Superman Returns

Superman Returns isn't really in continuety with the original movies, certainly less with S2 than it is with the original S1, so the audience just has to accept that they had a relationship at some point before Superman left Earth without it having been a direct result of what happened in S2...

    It's a Boy/Girl Thing - Cert 12A?!

Don't flame me - it was FREE, okay??? For anyone who wants to know, it's a slightly above average teen body-swap movie. Dim jock boy swaps with geeky girl, and they discover hidden respect/love for each other just in time for the final reel. It's well executed and not too sugary. Elton John...

    Aeon Flux

There was a piece in Empire's review of this film saying that when a man wins an Oscar he is offered every juicy part under the sun, but when a woman wins, she is offered parts involving the wearing a leotard...like Halle Berry!

    Question about Play.com stock

Blu ray arrived first thing this morning so i'm very happy indeed! As always with BFI a nice thick booklet is included so well worth the money. Used Amazon free shipping so really 3 working days isn't that bad at all.

    Scariest film

One of the truly scariest films I have seen was an old black and white one from 1945 ~ "dead of night". Poltergeist from 1982, was also pretty scary.

Name a film which has changed your mind about the actor

Tom Cruise - oddly I disliked him ever since I saw "Risky Business" Then I saw "Collateral" and he was really good in that! (he was okay in "Magnolia" too, but nothing spectacular...)
