Nokia e61i ... I'm testing one out now for a review. It looks like something from 1967, but works really, really well. Edge, WiFi, camera, and a great keyboard. Only issue so far is it's not super comfy (for me) on voice calls ... but it's really thin and pocketable.

I forgot to post an update with the solution this problem. The SIM card I had was old and would not work with the newer phone. I used another SIM card from a friends phone and it worked. I called the company and told them of my discovery and they told me to stop a store to get a new SIM card...

i can't imagine that there isn't a store that won't have one this late in the game...
