Personally I don't think Sony can afford to not drop the price. If Nintendo/MS do price drops and Sony lags behind, it's not a good position for PS3 sales. On the flipside, they can't do too large of a price drop (unless the Cell Tech and BluRay Tech drop in price) or they'll be so upside down...
