You should test ride both. You'll be able to tell which is better for you. The 1100 will have way more grunt which will make commuting much more fun.

Have you checked the throttle tension screw? It's a little plastic star on the bottom of the housing.

I run Progressive 440's with a spring rate for solo riding, and a set of the less expensive 412's with spring rate for two up riding. Recommend either, and could live with the 412's as the only pair. Check their website for info.

I don't think these are error codes but just telling you the diags are clear. I could be wrong. I'd clear everything out and see if you get an error code like on the lists above. You might have done the code checking procedure wrong and that's what caused the codes you saw. Did you follow this...
