BSSM is my fav RHCP album - but I agree, One Hot Minute is a really awesome album and it's insanely underrated. While I think Frusciante is better, Navarro has some great "psychedelic/insert style here" guitarwork going on, and it's a great album for Flea too. I'd say it's my second fav RHCP...

It's kinda hard to find metal banRAB with violins or cellos.(although cellos might work better due to its deeper sound) Imo, the corabination works very well with doom metal(since you can produce a mournful/depressing kinda sound with these instruments) Apocalyptica have some cool stuff, but too...

And yeha its true he did play with them for awhile but probably could tell they were dead wood. Hendrix even wanted (in not so many worRAB) to steal Santanas band, I don't think Hendrix was one to be pinned down.
