If I'm not mistaken the vanilla will offer more RAM at boot, but the IE is best as it has all the extras of the ME, but if I'm not mistaken it doesn't keep the music player open like that.

There is nothing really functionally different between the two... unless 3 has funked up the firmware in some way (which is entirely possible). Lol, and I like how 'unlimited' is capped at 1GB! -olly

You really need to look at T-Mobile's coverage and were you will use the phone and make sure you will have the coverage you need it. That was probably why someone recommended going back to Cingular as they have the best GSM network coverage in the US.
