No, it doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a 12A, but it would definitely mean that it'd be a very tame 15 (see the theatrical cut of Die Hard 4.0 or the afformentioned AVP1). Making a PG-13 rated Alien movie would just alienate the franchises core fans. It's not like this film wouldn't make money...
