    Orange County - Any Good?

Orange County -- A teen movie, so be aware of that. In its genre however, I would say it stanRAB out from the rest. More genuine than "American Pie" (albeit probably not as funny) and much less stupid than the disasterous "Dude, Where's My Car". If Jack Black doesn't annoy you (see "Almost...

The Shipping News - a question

Thanks for putting me straight on that one. Of course the fact that Kevin Spacey has reverted to sardonic type in films like Superman Returns & 21 suggests that even he now admits he made some less than successful career choices.

What should America's State Religion Be?

Pretty poor. I'm trying to figure out which sect of Christians provided the values on which the USA was founded. Hence the list of sects to choose from in the poll.

    For or Against Gay Marriage

If you live in Canada and can get married in Canada, why are you so worried about what the US does? Last time I checked, we had a border between the two countries and a completely different set of laws. If the US wants to allow gay marriage than it should be put to a vote of the citizens as...

    Edge of Darkness

As I mentioned I have't seen the original so can't compare the two. What I really liked was it wasn't the usual Mel Gibson performance or role. This was more the kind of thing Tom Hanks or Harrison Ford does. The weak part for me was Ray Winstone. I'm not a big fan of his at the best of times...

Halloween Remake The New Micheal Inside

Why remake such a good classic horror. It can only be worse.

    Woohoo...They're remaking Logan's Run

It could do with a remake. The original film was a bit on the low budget side and the effects were fairly poor (although Jenny Agutter is always worth watching :-) It was a film of its time, though, much like Barbarella was in the Sixties. Watching it now, it looks rather quaint and dated (as...

    Creep

I liked it - took me back to the old horrors of the late 70's. Very reminicant of the Texas Chainsaw Masacre.

    Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards

Watch what you say, the Tarantino fanboys will be here on mass before long. Tarantino has been writing complete fanboy wank for ages now. He does soundtracks better than anybody though, shame a decent soundtrack isn't enough to make a film any good.
