... was on Film4 a few nights ago, got to see it last night. Anyone else catch it? I quite liked it, story was OK, but the production design was amazing and what seemed to be an endless use of classic practical effects, a lot of it purely for art sake was a joy to see, a good refreshing film.

Yeah the subtitle 'Episode IV - A New Hope' was added for the 1981 re-release. Empire Strikes Back, released in 1980, had 'Episode V' on it from word go. Lucas only ever planned for 6 films. It was just speculation and the odd crazy comment from people during the hype that brought up the 9 and...

Some of the stuff had its best run when I was a teenager (X Men, Daredevil, Elektra, Iron Fist, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, Batman, The Punisher,) and I'm all grown up now! Well kinda! :o So no. I'll never get sick of 'em. Heck, I'll even introduce my kiRAB to 'em! :D

I couldn't disagree more actually. Narnia got it completely wrong, it was cold, it's characters lacked charisma and it was too long. Gof was superior to it. The Potter films are far from perfect but at least I give a toss about the characters. I do agree that it's far harder to adapt a long book...
