    Mamma Mia on Dvd?

I've noticed the Mamma Mia dvd pre-order price creep up over the last couple of months. As of today it's cheapest at CDWow (

Pirates of the carribbean at world's end.

I didn't like the fact it was almost an after thought - also a lot of people won't have seen the bit at the end nor understand the implications of it. So in effect for a lot of people it is a sad ending. It should have just been happy. Cuts out all the confusion inbetween then. But at least it...

Who's off to see GI Joe this Friday?

is this review a joke?? this film is one of the worst i have ever seen. just picking bits at random here (i could fill a page on why i thought it was so bad): the paris chase was pure cgi - cheap looking copies of men in those suits bounding down the road, the car crashes were all cgi, rachel...

    JJ Abrams Star Trek

Thats what I thought too! Jennifer Morrison (Cameron in House) has now been confirmed as being in the movie too, but JJ won't say who she's playing. Though from the spy photos I think she is playing Carol Marcus, though he did say she is not Janice Rand...

    Lip Service BBC3

It IS good that 'we're' being represented :) To be fair, my stomach churns whenever there's straight sex on TV (and there's a LOT of that) so it's all fair play :p

Please, please, please shut your face!!

I realised the other day that I have not been to the Cinema to watch a "grown-up" film for nearly a year. I don't remember a time in my adult life when I have gone this long without a visit. It seems to me that there are two reasons why this has happened: 1) I have children so there's not much...

Memento is underrated; such an ingenious film

    Pride & Prejudice

What I liked about the BBC version was that it was unusual compared to every other modern version. Elizabeth is meant to be pretty but Jane is meant to be the stunning one in the family. These versions where they have the stunner playing Elizabeth just dont ring true. Not that Jennifer Ehle isnt...

    Bandslam

But what he did to Will? Will dealt with it really well but the intent was to absolutely destroy him. Still wishing the ending was a "breaks his nose" scene rather than the ridiculous ending we got.

Nightmare on Elm Street being remade

I'd love for Nancy to have a role in the remake, even just a cameo. Heather Lagenkamp still looks great and appears to remember the franchise with genuine fondness if her imput on the first movie's DVD is anything to go by. I know I can only dream of this though. :(

Can't wait for the 3D fad to be over

Avatar and Alice in Wonderland both looked fantastic in 3d. It's expensive - and I don't like paying that much for a film at all, but it does make the experience much more immersive, and actually an incentive to go to the cinema instead of waiting for the cinema. Make it normal price and I'd...

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

i suppose but i think its not going to change anything. We've quietened down after the hubbub over the past few days.
