I never realised mix tapes meant so much to blokes. I've had one or two in my time (mix tapes LOL) and I have to say they werent very good, so they were listened to a few times and then discarded. Perhaps I should have taken more notice if so much effort went into them.

No doubt! Prince is one of the most talented musicians of all, I do not remeraber exactly how many instruments he has mastered. It seems that it was around 13 or so? Let alone he is the producer for his own music & other artist as well. I always think of Stevie Wonder, when relating to Prince...

Please note most of the songs he listed are on the album "Turn On the Bright Lights"...their first and best album by far. Just listen to that album instead of hunting down those individual tracks...I don't think you will regret it. I love that album.

robert wyatt's shleep. it's a lot more of a pop album than wyatt's earlier stuff, but i think every artist tenRAB to follow that trend. it was tough to listen to at first because it wasn't what i expected at all, but once i erabraced it for what it was, it grew on me.

Maybe in topsy turvy land. 2pac is the only one fritter mentioned that doesn't do it for me. I'm also puzzled as to how and why a fan of Iggy Pop, Danzig and Joy Division would hate The Doors. That's like being a Beatles hating Oasis fan. Not as overrated as The Stooges. Or The Clash actually.
