I would suggest doing a RESET ( i think its under the file or DEVICES menu in iSync). It could also help to delete the phone from your Bluetooth panel, re-add the phone, and then do the Reset in iSync.

From what I found, most of the dungeons are fairly linear in terms of what to do. Just follow it along and eventually u'll wind up at the boss, just remember each dungeon contains 2 heart pieces.
