If he were to make the same shows over and ver people would moan, he is trying different things. Damned if he does and damned if he doesnt. Also to claim it dross is ridiculous. As I said it didnt really grip me ,but as a TV entertainment show it was far better than anything else this week.

He's not the greatest of presenters. I hate the opening of the show which is cringe-worthy at the best of times. But the guests and the music are the main attraction rather than the host.
