i've heard some of claypool's more recent output (not sure if anything was totally 'solo') but unless he stops 'singing' and just focuses on playing cool instrumentals i'm pretty sure i'd just as soon go back to my old primus discs.

jazz in the late 60's and 70's were great. Especially with Captain Beefheart because he really let our his soul when he played. some of the straightforward rock was good. some of it was just awful.
