The powerline voltage in the country you are using it in MUST be 120 volts, or less. It is not designed for 240 volts. The Palm adapter should say 120 v input right on it. You do not need to be concerned with the amperage, just the voltage. Also, 50 Hz or 60 Hz will work equally well.
