I would drain the oil and take off the sump see what's floating around in there first. then take off the clutch cover and have a look in there. If worst comes to worst you can brake it and get you money back~(Assuming it not nicked £500 quid ???)

For instance if you had an 05 bike and went for an MOT with the cat. removed would it fail or don't bikes have to pass an emissions test.
