Personally I don't really see any legitimate reason for Bowie to cite the Velvets as an influence in the first place. He used to do "White Light/White Heat" at live shows in the '70s but as regarRAB his own material I don't hear ANY influence at all.

what ever format it was when it was on the cd. If it was mp3 on the cd he wants it to be mp3 when its ripped. If its wma on the cd, he wants it to be wma on the harddrive. He basically doesnt want the ripping program changing anything, and just carbon copying it onto his computer

On VHS years ago, still have those (unbutchered ones). Then bought them on DVD later, watched them, sold them. I'll maybe buy the HD versions when they come out, then decide whether to keep or sell them.
