    Last FM

Last 7 days: 1. Skinny Puppy (38) If Last.fm had charted my music listening since my early teens, Skinny Puppy would be topping the charts by a hundred miles. 2. Plaid (31) One of my favorite IDM acts. Their latest release, a soundtrack for the Japanese film Heaven's Door, is flipping amazing...

    Albums You're Digging II

Excellent album that. Some brilliant grooves and rhythms and that one. Turin Brakes - JackInaBox I almost forgot how undeniably immense this album was. Brilliant, laid-back acoustic rock with a little bit of country thrown in to spice things up. The limited edition bonus DVD's great stuff...

I instantly ordered the CD as I couldn't find it...

    The rules of recommending music

I have honestly had pretty good luck the way I do it. Sometimes it takes more than one shot, sometimes they just don't like it and never will, and sometimes they like it the first time and never look back. My point is that it never hurts to try and you can learn a lot by their first reaction.

Is it possible to objectively judge music?

I think there's a lot to be said for music journalism when it comes to articles & interviews. I've just never had any time for reviews. If I write one I use it as a platform to say why I like it or dislike it. Looking at it in an objective way is not something I have ever even given any thought...
