Um, Led Zeppelin for every reason that I'm sure was already said. Judas Priest for taking it five steps further. Iron Maiden for giving it darkness, Black Sabbath for opening up the metal minRAB.

72/73 was when they started going downhill live. Though I think personally, at that same time, they were improving as a studio band, funny how that works.
