    The Dead Weather

I took a listen of the album a couple of days ago and thought it was a pretty satisfying listen. I got everything I want from a Jack White collaboration, gritty rock drenched in cool. Anyway, I was really surprised by the vocals. I never realised how much Alison Mosshart sounded like Jack...

Pokemon 5th Generation: What do you hope for next?

All over the Pokemon fandom, of course. And yeah, I guess Paul's more "two dimensional" than "one dimensional" Usually "one note" would be a more accurate description.

    Kalmah

Same as every melodeath band. But, they're pretty decent.

    Dio

How have I missed this thread?? Dio freaking rocks! Doesn't matter when, he still rocks. Although I like his newer stuff a little bit better. But it all still rocks either way. Dio Forever!

Guns N' Roses (Yes and Chinese Democracy, so don't make other threads on it.)

Just curious if anyone here has tracks from GN'R forthcoming 'Chinese Democracy' album - that has not been previously made available to the masses via the web?

What made you like Metal music?

Um, Led Zeppelin for every reason that I'm sure was already said. Judas Priest for taking it five steps further. Iron Maiden for giving it darkness, Black Sabbath for opening up the metal minRAB.

Top 100 Guitarists Of All Time:

72/73 was when they started going downhill live. Though I think personally, at that same time, they were improving as a studio band, funny how that works.

    Metal Battle

That was actually a lot different than I expected it to be. 6/10, they've got mad skill but it feels slightly unfocused. I'm not sure how "metal" this really is, but there is something metallic about it. I_wjvWkFT6Y

Live-Action Cowboy Bebop Writer Peter Craig Interviewed

I'm feeling a little more at ease after reading this. At least it seems that the right people are in place. And Sunrise's strict involvement is encouraging too. I'm still extremely apprehensive about Mr. Reeves playing Spike, but it sounRAB like they got a very good person to write the script...

    Albums You're Digging II

So true. The only track on VU/Nico that I wouldn't take over the entirety of WLWH (hell, over the rest of their massively overrated catalogue) is European Son.

    The Metal Education Thread

I personally hate the label "nu metal." I think it's an insult to the banRAB who happen to fall under that category. I also don't know see how it's a bastardization to metal, or why so many people tend to hate it either. And what defines a true metalhead? I personally have encountered a...
