I had the exact same problem with my '99 RK. Seems to be a common problem. The HD lines will cost you almost $200 EACH! J&P Cycles has this for $160 for BOTH. Easy to replace. I replaced mine 8 months ago.

Call Wild Ones. They worked out a great setup for my wife on her Deluxe, even down to a different riser. I use their standard bagger bars on my SG and I am 6-3.
