I have 5,000 miles on my 1098 with no problems. The bike sees 150 and redline usually every ride. I wheelie the bike do rolling burnouts just like my old jap bikes, no issues. I think Rosco you just dont know how to read torgue specs.

Seriously, call your dealer. I had a simalar experience where some knucklehead forgot to take the old oil filter gasket off, and it blew out on my way home. If I didn't notice the smell and trail of oil and didn't shut it down, I may have toasted the motor. But most dealers are willing to help...
