I'm with you. I liked the original Rugrats a lot. But Doug...there was just something about that show. A kind of honesty, a total lack of smarminess, an earnestness...a Yellow Submarine kind of playful funkiness...qualities that I guess have no place in Nick toons now. But I sure miss it...

So, did she have puppies or did she get a back alley abortion? Or was that the end of the movie?

There is something I always wanted to know: Why did they stop doing the practice of changing the showrunner every two seasons? It seems to me that by having two seasons to work with, the showrunner can present his ideas and not have to worry about rehashing plots or running out of ideas.

I'd like to point out that The Simpsons Movie is now the 24th most successful animated movie of all time, and ranked #5 as the most successful 2D animated movie. Neat!

It was easy to see the potential in Jimmy Neutron even when watching the first season. I've seen enough of Planet Sheen to see that it isn't the case here.

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I don't see why you need to choose one incarnation over the other. I mean I for one enjoy The Batman as much as I enjoy Batman The Animated Series, just as I enjoy both Superfriends and JLU.

Vanessa is not a villain she keeps trying to prove to her mother that her father is evil. Sure it's so she does not have to deal with him anymore but still she's not a villain at all.

Funnily enough, animation is called 'anime' in both French and Japanese (though the 'e' has an accent in French). I suspect the Japanese word might be a French loan word, but I could be wrong. And I'd dispute that French animation isn't distinctive. It has one of the oldest animation traditions...

Pretty cool that they're making another Richard Scarry series, I loved the old one when it was on Nick Jr. back in the 90's. I may check out an episode or two of it.

I remember reading somewhere that it had mixed reviews but despite that it became an instant bomb. Btw the tom and jerry movie was also a bomb and the jetsons.

From what I seen the voice actors seem pretty good, if they made a series I hope they would be retained. It looks like it could be a fun series, I might watch. If I am network or studio I would look into this as a possible series. It has protential.

South Park: Kids were enjoying this cartoon since they were in elementary school. I never found the show appealing, and the animation doesn't help.
