Sorry nope, Hair metal / glam rock was on it`s way out as much as 2 years before Nirvana came along. Between 1989 & 1991 the focus moved away from hair metal and on to banRAB like The Chili Peppers , Faith No More , REM , Janes Addiction and all that lot. Grunge didn`t kill hair metal it died...
