I noticed the same phenomenon. I mainly use yabsearch, nzbindex and binsearch and even with new files I get incomplete results where as in binsearch there's no missing files at all.

Just get WinRAR because that can do everything.

You can connect to both and I suggest you do that. I often get sources faster with Kad, and a big pro of searching Kad is that it doesn't display incomplete results. The overhead is a drawback, but I don't have a lot of trouble with that.

When you tick the "Allow incoming" tickbox on the "Hosts" page, you will get half the amount of hosts that you specified. If you untick it, they will "come back". I don't know why it happens, though. I asked the same question in this thread.
